Resources for Home Gardening in Southern California

My Garden is My Refuge!

I have been gardening since I was a little boy, when I planted Wheat grains from my yearly trip to North Dakota in the ground at my home in San Diego, probably the only kid in San Diego with a useless wheat crop! It was fun though, and when I bought my first house in 1992, I soon added a vegetable garden, then fruit trees, and so on it went.

For fruit and vegetables I basically plant what my family likes to eat. I grow Lettuce, Brocolli, Tomatoes, Squash, and many other things we commonly put on our table. I have created pages that show information on growing each of these plants.
