Callery Pear Tree Trimming Day

It was hot out, but my overgrown Callery Pear Tree still needed trimming. My kids were gracious enough to help me out - so kids - Thank You! Last time we trimmed this tree we broke a window, which still is only partially repaired. We fared much better this round.

Propagating Tomatoes Is Easy!
I saw a beautiful tomato plant full of fruit and ripened early - so what did I do? I asked for a cutting. Pop it in water, wait a couple of weeks, and you have a tomato plant that will grow very quickly in your garden.
Boy do I have plans for this one! This tomato is going to go in a pot either hanging in my gazebo or sitting on my wine barrel growing vertically. Maybe I need another cutting so I can do both! I guess I will have to propagate my propagation.

First Cucumber Harvest of 2024

This is a lot later this year, but my first cucumber of the Spring Season is here just one day before Summer begins. My 'early cucumbers' died, so I was set back in getting these going, but now they are in Full Swing.
Extend Your Avocado Harvest By Refrigerating Your Avocados

One way to resolve my rat or squirrel issue was to simply pick my avocados and put them in my refridgerator. Most of these were picked on May 21, 2024. As you can see we have thirteen reed avocados in my drawer here, and we have three more that our in our fruit-bowl in the ripening process......

I was doing a little looking back at my gardening pictures and I saw my first planting of two of my avocado trees in 2014, the Reed Avocado and the Hass Avocado which I have been enjoying the fruits this month.
