Cooler Temperatures are in store, with a very small storm rolling in on Wednesday, but will only provide less than a tenth of an inch of rain. The cooler temps will provide conditions in which our plants will need much less watering as we head into winter.

I started planting my seeds on 10/6/2023 for this raised bed this year. I put them in the soil on 10/4/2023. This is my variety garden, where I put lettuce, bok choy, spinach, cilantro, basil, and a few new things I am trying this year - winter squash and okra.

The storm last week did not live up to much precipitation. Only 0.3 inches on my rain gauge on Wednesday. We are back to dry and windy, so even though temps are mild, we better turn back on the sprinklers.

How Long Will My Zucchini and Yellow Squash Go?

This is getting ridiculous.... I planted this zucchini and yellow squash on March 4, 2024. Now 8 months later they are still producing. That is crazy! We are so blessed in Southern California to have a climate that will produce vegetables all year long!
