Preparing the Cinder Block Planter

After clearing out the area, I started building a cinder block planter for my Reed Avocado Tree. In the picture below you can see me working by a very sickly Fuerto Avocado Tree, and an even worse looking Hass Avocado Tree to my right that will be removed shortly.
Cinder Block Planters such as this are good for holding water in the area - especially in the early years when the trees are yound and more fragile. Other factors are that it looks nice, and gives me something to stand on that is sturdy and flat as the tree grows.
