I think the Clausen Nursery is one of the best nurseries in Southern California to find affordable trees. They offer significanly lower prices than many of the other local nurseries. I would be willing to drive a considerable distance to find trees here.

They don't always have every single tree variety, but they do have a lot of trees, and you can call them and they will let you know what they have that day, and give you an idea of what's coming in.
